A marvel of architecture and considered world-class before its time, the Eastern State Penitentiary was once a prisoner’s worse nightmare. Having begun with solitary confinement and other forms of harsh punishment, as well as having housed some very notable prisoners including Al Capone, Freda Frost and Slick Willie, the prison was eventually closed due to many reasons. As the years went by, the building was said to be haunted and has professional ghost hunters roaming the halls to find evidence of those still walking through the corridors.
