Carol Kane

Carolyn Kane, better known as Carol Kane, became known in the 70s and 80s from films like Hester Street, where she received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress, Annie Hall, and The Princess Bride. She was on the TV series Taxi in the early 80s as Simka Gravas, married to Andy Kaufman’s Latka. She won two Emmys for her work on Taxi. Since then, she has played Madame Morrible in the musical “Wicked” on Broadway from 2005 to 2014. From 2015 to 2019, she played Lillian Kaushtupper on the Netflix original series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. In 2020, she was part of the show Hunters, along with Al Pacino and Lena Olin.
