Albany Daily News

Angie Dickinson first came to public attention in the 1950s with bit parts on different TV shows and films. She broke new ground as Sergeant Suzanne “Pepper” Anderson in the police procedural drama “Police Woman”, portraying a woman in a leading role and as a police officer at that. This show paved the way for other female-led series like “The Bionic Woman” and “Charlie’s Angels”. In 1999, Playboy Magazine awarded Dickinson the 42nd spot on their 100 Sexiest Stars of the Century countdown list. In 2002, TV Guide ranked her number 3 on their “50 Sexiest TV Stars of All Time”.
