Joanna Cameron met Bob Hope, the father of her friend, while she was in college. Hope went on to cast Cameron in his film, “How to Commit Marriage”, after which she got bit parts in a variety of 70s TV shows. She was called the Queen of Commercials, as she made a good living endorsing various lifestyle products. In 1975, she was cast as Andrea Thomas, the high school science teacher, on the Saturday morning live-action kids show called “The Secrets of Isis”. The show ran for two seasons. She has since focused most of her time on marketing for various hotels and working in home healthcare.
