A cousin of the Alaskan Malamute, the Siberian Husky can also be quite mischievous but is normally well-mannered and friendly. They are a pack breed like the Alaskan Husky, and respond well to leadership. However, they are great escape artists and can figure out ways of getting to where they want to go. They are a medium-sized dog that needs training early on, because they can be independent and stubborn. They are good with other dogs, and thrive on human affection. They tend to be friendly, but have a high prey drive. They may chase cats and livestock, and they do love to run. They hardly bark, but they howl. Take note that they love to dig, particularly in warm weather to create cooler places to lie in.
