The breed typically used in sled racing as they are strong, fast, and have the endurance to match. Very obedient breed without the same character flaws as the Malamute of Siberian Husky. But they are not considered purebred dogs. They are a blend of various Northern dogs bred for pulling sleds.They are loyal and protective of their owners and territory. They are leaner than Siberian Huskies, and have brown-colored eyes as compared to the Siberian which have blue, or a blue and brown eye combination. They are thrifty eaters even while they are very active. They make for wonderful lifetime companions.
