Most owners wonder how this “shaggy” dog can see with so much hair covering its eyes, but it  can be a good watch-dog that is devoted and hard working. They are protective and will bark loudly if they sense danger. Intelligent but an independent thinker, responding only to tasks that make sense to it. Rewards always make sense. Unfortunately, these dogs tend to drool and are heavy shedders. Their coats need constant brushing as they can trap debris and dirt. They enjoy being with children and are friendly to strangers welcomed by the owners.
