Jaimie Alexander who stared as Sif in both “Thor” (released in 2011) and “Thor: The Dark World” (released in 2013) had an extremely traumatic experience while filming the sequel and she suffered some serious injuries. She recalls during an interview with MTV. “I slipped and fell down something very high, and I hurt my self pretty badly and it scared me. I knew when I couldn’t get off the ground I was like ‘OK, I’m in big trouble.'” The accident left her with a dislocated left shoulder, herniated a disk in her spine and chipped 11 of her vertebrae. She recounted, “… So I was in the hospital for a week, but it was a thing where it was just a swelling thing. Once the swelling went down, I was good to go, went to physical rehab every day for a month, went back and did some more fight sequences.” After physical rehab for a month, she was able to go back to the set to complete the film, she however still had to take it easy during the combat scenes.
