Uma Thurman as “the Bride”, in “Kill Bill”

Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 were popular action revenge thriller movies that fans loved to watch for their intricately choreographed fight scenes and inventive film style. Although unknown to most of us, Uma Thurman was almost unable to complete Volume 1 and was almost unable to star in Volume 2 since she was involved in a car accident during the filming of Kill Bill Volume 1. We only found out about it since Thurman shared a video of the accident on Instagram on the 5th of February, 2018. As the story goes, Thurman wanted a stunt double to drive the vehicle, since she heard that the car was in bad shape, however director Quentin Tarantino got upset and insisted that she should drive the car for the scene. This resulted in Thurman crashing the car into a palm tree as seen on the video uploaded on Instagram.

As part of the post, Thurman mentioned that, “… i do not believe though with malicious intent. Quentin Tarantino, was deeply regretful and remains remorseful about this sorry event, and gave me the footage years later so i could expose it and let it see the light of day, regardless of it most likely being an event for which justice will never be possible. he also did so with full knowledge it could cause him personal harm, and i am proud of him for doing the right thing and for his courage…”
Good thing was that her injuries were not too severe and that Uma Thurman decided to continue filming for Volume 2.
