While Jared Leto’s Joker is an acquired taste, there’s no denying he is one of the most talented method actors working in entertainment today. He’s received critical praise for his performances and won Academy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a transgender woman in Dallas Buyers Club. Leto, however, can be too committed to his role. Staying in character throughout the shooting of Suicide Squad, he gave Will Smith who played Deadshot a box of bullets, Margot Robbie who played Harley Quinn a live rat, and the rest of his co-actors a dead hog. But when his efforts to go full Joker didn’t pay off and bad reviews started pouring in, he told his fans he felt he was tricked into signing up for Suicide Squad. Such an amazing display of teamwork and professionalism.
