This one’s hard to swallow. It’s dismaying to learn that the lovely lady who charmed us in so many heartwarming movies is not as delightful as her role in Miss Congeniality but more like her standoffish and terrifying persona in The Proposal. One man shared how he met Sandra Bullock at a bowling alley, and she was quick to turn him down when he asked for a picture with her. He was lucky he got away with just a refusal. One woman described how she and her husband were sorely disappointed when they met the actress. Her husband was a wheelchair-bound veteran and was one of Bullock’s loyal fans. They’d only asked for an autograph, but Bullock did not just refuse, she covered her face and started yelling at them. We understand it can be exhausting to sign autographs, particularly when you’re busy filming a movie which she was at the time, but that no way to treat a fan, especially one in a wheelchair.

That wasn’t her only yelling incident though. She also shouted at a reporter who had asked her if she and her then-husband Jesse James were expecting a child. The journalist was not prepared for Bullock to lash out at him for asking her a “disgusting question.” Of course, we hadn’t known then she was dealing with fertility problems, so maybe we should cut Sandy some slack.
