JLaw is undeniably one of the most talented actresses out there today, having received numerous nominations and awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2013 for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. She’s been a Hollywood “It Girl” for many years, with her quirky and down-to-earth personality and her tendency to trip on the red carpet, making her very relatable to fans.

However, the charming klutz admitted that she is rude to her followers when she wants to avoid signing autographs and taking selfies. In a Variety interview with Adam Sandler, Lawrence revealed that she becomes incredibly rude once she’s in a public place, bluntly refusing constant requests for photos as her way of defending herself. In an interview with CNN, Lawrence confessed that fame has affected her mental wellness, and sometimes, saying no has helped her cope with strangers. Fans are calling her out though, saying her rudeness to fans as a defense mechanism is a flimsy excuse to not appreciate the people who support her. Aside from being mean to fans, Lawrence has also been criticized for snapping at a foreign journalist for reading his questions off his phone.
