Sean Penn

Academy Award-winning actor Sean Penn, praised for his roles in Dead Man Walking, I Am Sam, Mystic River, Milk, and several other blockbuster films and directorial projects, has also been named one of the most unbearable celebrities in Hollywood. Penn has a history of violent outbursts against the press. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail for punching a photographer on a film set, and he did 300 hours of community service for kicking a journalist. He also attacked someone who tried to take a picture of him at a sales conference. Penn reportedly grabbed the person’s phone, threw it to the ground, and screamed at the conference attendee.
Penn has also made a name for himself for his racist remarks. When he presented the Academy Award for Best Picture to Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu for Birdman, Penn joked, “Who gave this son of a b*tch his green card?” Though Iñárritu tried to defend Penn and said it was a joke between them, many found the comment terribly offensive.
