Chuck Woolery was born on March 16, 1941 as Charles Herbert Woolery. He is an American game show host, musician and a talk show host. He was the original host of “Wheel of Fortune” from 1975 until 1981. Woolery also hosted several other game shows, such as “Love Connection” (1983 to 1994), “Scrabble” (1984 to 1990, and in 1993), “Greed” on Fox (1999 to 2000), and “Lingo” on GSN (2002 to 2007).
From the 1970s to the 1980s, Chuck Woolery was the iconic game show host. He had perfect hair, great at engaging in witty banter and he also had a smooth voice. From his time in the “Wheel of Fortune” and “Love Connection”, people would get the impression that he was a good guy.
However, during the age of social media, Woolery started sharing his political opinions online. He is a conservative, and there is nothing wrong with that, Woolery however at times would take things a bit too far with his unconventional and aggressive stance. During a radio show, he once explained his belief that civil rights are not needed by minorities. He mentioned that gay rights or civil rights are unnecessary, since everyone has inalienable rights. He further expounded, that what he wanted to say was that everyone gets discriminated against, regardless of who you are; and that he knows what it’s like because he’s old.
