Benjamin Jeremy Stein, most people know him just as Ben Stein, was born on November 25, 1944. He is an American writer, lawyer, actor and comedian. However, most know him only from the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and as the host of the game show “Win Ben Stein’s Money”. “Win Ben Stein’s Money” is similar to the game show “Jeopardy”, Ben Stein is on the show as both a host and as a contestant. The twist comes on the second and third rounds of the game, where Ben Stein tries to defend “his” money from the contestants.
People might not know it, but Stein has been in law and politics for years. He was a speechwriter for Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. In addition to this, Stein is also known for having some eccentric ideas. He made “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” a movie that was critical of evolution. It depicted anyone who supports evolution as unpatriotic and un-American. The movie also links evolution to the Nazi party and to eugenics.
