Regis Philbin has a Strained Relationship

Regis Francis Xavier Philbin was born on August 25, 1931, he is more popularly known as Regis Philbin. He is one of the most popular talk show hosts in the US and in Canada. Philbin has been hosting talk shows and game shows since the 1960s. And according to Guinness World Record, Regis Philbin holds the record for the most time spent in front of a television camera. Philbin hosted game shows such as “America’s Got Talent”, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, “The Neighbors” and many other game shows.

All in all, Regis Philbin seems like a pretty stand-up guy. However, he might not be as perfect as it seems. Since, after working with Kelly Ripa for more than a decade on “Live”, there have been a lot of reports that talk about the strained relationship between the two and that there might have been a feud behind the scenes. These allegations however were forgotten since the two shared an emotional moment during Philbin’s final episode on “Live”. Philbin told Ripa “Every morning, I’ll think about this” and Ripa tearfully responded with “Thank you for everything. I love you.” That may just have been for the cameras, since in 2017, Philbin was asked while he was on Larry King Now if he and Ripa kept in touch, he simply responded with “Not really, no.”
