Bob Barker: Racist? Or just Too Old?

Bob Barker is well-known for hosting “The Price is Right”, he is now retired. He claimed back in 2007 that he wanted to retire “before he got too old”. However, this was not the case according to certain rumors that circulated back then. According to the rumor, Barker was asked to retire because of a threat of a lawsuit for racial discrimination. And then, just 4 months after Barker’s final episode, Deborah Curling (who is black), a former employee, filed a lawsuit against the producers of the show and Bob Barker. Curling’s lawsuit was regarding alleged racial discrimination, sexual and mental harassment.

All the problems of “The Price is Right” most likely isn’t just Bob Barker’s fault, since even after barker had retired, the show and its producers still got sued for different circumstances. Since in 2010, Brandi Cochran sued the show, she claimed that she had a miscarriage due to harsh treatment by producers. The producers discouraged models from getting pregnant.
