Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan (1982)

It Came from Blog

Maybe Star Trek learned from the Star Wars experience. The first Star Trek movie was overly concerned with special effects, rather than building characters, and the storyline. The Wrath of Khan definitely corrected this glitch, and focus on the heroes was more evident. Plus, Ricardo Montalban played the villain really well. Actually, it was the villain’s role that really stood out, as we sort of know what to expect from Kirk, Spock, and the rest of the crew. The emotions of Khan as the villain surely captivated the audience, showing resentment for the heroes while being sympathetic. But again, that is subjective, and critics will always have their say about it. Still, it was surely better than the first movie.
