There are many people who will debate as to what was the best James Bond movie, and which actor portrayed the best hero. But a lot will agree that the 2nd entry of the series was much better than the first – 1963’s Dr. No. Some would also argue that Sean Connery really played Bond better than any other actor who did the role. While that may be true, he surely played the role better than the first movie. Maybe he was more relaxed with the role, or the director was better, whatever it was, it beat the first movie hands down. Fans of Connery would argue that he was a no-nonsense hero, similar to what John Wayne was. Not very gentlemanly, but during those days, critics didn’t mind. As long as they were tough, flamboyant, and daring.
