How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014)

Another animation where the sequel did better than the original. This sequel came 4 years after the original, but proved more interesting and emotionally resonant. Critics rave how animators mastered the hypnotizing movements of flight for the dragons and dancing for the humans. The battle sequences are also bigger, but some remember the romantic pause between Cate Blanchett’s Valka, and Gerald Butler’s Stoick. Also, the ice castle that doubles as a dragon sanctuary puts the Frozen palace to shame. Having great voice actors made this animation franchise a success, but kids know that the real gems are the animations itself.
