Mad Max Fury Road (2015)

Consequence Of Sound

Ok, many critics will say that the original Mad Max was not a good movie at all. It was boring, and lacked the immediacy and pacing of the sequels. The Road Warrior, released in 1981 after the original in 1979, was an improvement of the boring Mad Max movie. Both starred Mel Gibson, though the original movie featured a young male gibson, who was clearly struggling with his lines and action takes. Now, director George Miller outdid himself with Fury Road, as it is the best of the franchise, though some consider a reboot rather than a sequel. Definitely 2015 brought in a lot of updates in technology that made the film more interesting and action-packed. But the real standout was Charlize Theron’s character, Furiosa, which helped win 6 Oscars, and was even nominated Best Picture, and Best Director…a rare thing for a “popcorn” film.
