Thor, released in 2011, was a decent superhero movie. But it still was lacking in terms of excitement. The second movie released in 2013, was dubbed by critics as probably the worst of the Marvel movies. Thor was depicted as a self-serious bore, and his accent didn’t help a bit. Enter indie director Taika Waititi for the 3rd film, and the franchise was saved. He made Thor’s character more amusing with some comedy lines, and the haircut of Chris Hemsworth definitely was a positive change. It made the superhero more human, which is a blessing for many. It is easier to relate to human attributes and appreciate their being a superhero just the same.
