Silence Of The Lambs (1991)

Not many know that technically, Silence of the Lambs is a sequel to the 1986 Manhunter. Anthony Hopkins replaces Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecter and develops an eerie relationship with Jodie Foster’s Clarice – something that hasn’t been seen before, or arguably since. Both Hopkins and Foster are masters of their performances. Though Hopkins was only visible a few times in the movie, he made a terrifying enough impression to earn an Oscar for the performance. Foster won Best Actress, Demme – Best Director, and Best Picture. It remains to be one of the best films of its kind.
