Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (2004)

Alternate Ending

Many will argue that there is no such thing as a bad Harry Potter movie. And many will be right, each movie presented itself to be unique and entertaining. No boring parts really. The first two – Sorcerer’s Stone, and Chamber of Secrets, opened audiences eyes to the amazing talent of J.K Rowling, and the “magic” of her children’s books. Obviously it entertained adults as well. But the third film, The Prisoner of Azkaban, elevated the film from a young-adult fantasy, to a masterpiece in the dark arts of filmmaking. Director Alfonso Cuaron took over from Christopher Columbus, and shifted the franchise into a more serious storytelling to make it a darker tale for adults. He also took more liberties with Rowling’s book than Columbus did, there were quite a few scenes which did not come from the book, but from the directors ingenuity. Rowlings did not seem to mind, as the critics voiced their contentment over such additions.
