A Perfectly Preserved Time Capsule

It became abundantly clear why Joyce did not want to leave her brick home. It wasn’t just because she had lived there for so long, but also because it was simply an amazing house. In all the time Gladys and Carla worked as realtors, they had never seen anything like it. Every room was immaculately cared for, with each one more breathtaking than the last. It was unbelievable how Joyce had kept everything in mint condition. Usually, homes built within five or ten years would need a little work to be done, and houses that turned 20 or 30 would start to show signs of age. Houses 50 years or older would need some serious restoration, yet Joyce managed to keep her home looking like she just bought it.
However, while all the furnishings appeared to be in perfect condition, if Joyce’s home hadn’t been updated since the 1940s, then it would surely require a major overhaul of electrical wiring and appliances. This was something the sisters needed to consider.
