A Woman Near A Hundred Years Old

During their first conversation with Joyce over the phone, the realtors had suspected their client might be a little on the older side, but they were surprised when they found out that she was, in fact, a lot older than they imagined. Joyce was 96 years old! This was especially remarkable because the nonagenarian was pretty good at holding conversations and clearly hearing what other people were saying. It got Carla to think of her own elderly family members and how she would need to enunciate her words, speak loudly enough to be heard, and avoid talking too fast. Compared to a majority of people in their advanced years, Joyce sounded decades younger and more lucid. Aside from that, the sisters couldn’t wrap their minds at how someone close to turning a hundred years old managed to live on her own. However, the Spizzirris would soon learn that Joyce’s age wasn’t the most astonishing thing they’d stumble upon.
