While the interior of Joyce’s home was spectacular, the backyard was not up to par. It was plain, with green turn everywhere, and it was evident that no planning or design had been done to spruce it up. Not that Gladys and Carla were being critical. They were still mind-blown by what Joyce had accomplished and maintained indoors—and at her age. The sisters were not concerned about the garden because they could easily accent it with some landscape ideas and natural elements to turn it into a more inviting space or backyard escape for potential buyers. Some stonework, a breezy sitting area, and simple flower beds with a variety of colors should do the work. Still, an inspector would have to make sure everything inside and around the house was structurally sound and in good shape.
