Do Not Expect Tap Water To Be Free

Tap water in Amsterdam is safe to drink and quite delicious. It may not be pure like Iceland tap water, but it is good enough. But don’t expect it to be always free.  When you ask for water in a restaurant, you will be given a couple of small glasses for free, but more than that, you will be charged. Bottled water is even more expensive. Beer or tea may just be a better alternative. It is really all up to you. Just don’t get shocked when you are charged for tap water.
