One interesting fact is that tap water in Iceland is among the purest in the world. It is neither chlorinated or fluorinated. It is as pure as it can get. Some tourists do not appreciate it being tasteless, but that is what purity tastes like. If you buy bottled water, you are basically buying tap water that is bottled. No restaurant will charge for tap water, no matter how much you drink. If you prefer flavored or sparkling water, supermarkets will have them available. It is your choice, but just think of how much you can save by just filling up a canister with tap water. Plus the fact that you don’t contribute to discarding plastic waste as it harms the environment.
