First of all, it is always best to get a certified mountaineer guide. They know the lay of the land and are trained to keep tourists like you safe. Some glaciers may look sturdy and lovely to walk on, but always be careful. Some parts can have ice that easily breaks under weight. This can send you falling into the icy depths of the glacier. Not many have survived such a fall. Secondly, there will again be warning signs if there is any possible danger. Always look around, if you see one, take it seriously. You can enjoy, just be very cautious.
