Don’t Take Airport Taxis

Source: https://visitreykjavik.is

Iceland is an expensive place. Not the typical place for budget-backpackers. When you arrive at the airport, try not to take the airport taxis lined up outside the airport. The one hour drive from the airport to central Reykjavik will cost you an eye. It would cost about 18000 ISK ( the Krona is the currency of Iceland) or about 140 euros. Compare this to taking the Flybus which costs 2200 ISK or 17 euros. Think of the money you will have saved, which could be used for other things. Be smart, save when you can. The bus trip is comfortable anyway.
