Getting Ready To Blast Them To Kingdom Come

You may think that soldiers were well-armed during the Vietnam conflict, and they are, just look at the gunner above with an M60 along with several ammo belts. But don’t think that they never run out of ammo. In this gunner’s case, his M60 fires around 500-600 rounds per minute, so the stack you see here doesn’t exactly last that long. Most soldiers, who were issued semiautomatic rifles like the M16, were given around 20 magazines with 20 rounds each along with smoke and fragmentation grenades. But when you’re shooting at an enemy that’s shooting back at you, especially one that you can’t see because of the terrain, you’ll wish you had more.
