After The Sun Comes Rain

With rain pouring from above and wading in a river with waist to chest-deep waters, soldiers are pictured here soaked to the bone in South Vietnam. One of the difficulties that American soldiers and their allies had to face in Vietnam was the weather. The heat and humidity during summer can get crippling, and dehydration was a big problem, along with the bugs. But when it rains, it pours. It was claimed that rain came from all directions, from above, from the side, and even from below. But that was just soldiers complaining as it was not particularly rainy during the war. It was just Vietnam. However, if you came from a place where there’s not much rain, like sunny California, then it may have felt that way.
