The multitalented Zakiya Dara Randal is not only a champion golfer, but she’s also a model, public speaker, and music producer better known as “Z.” She was born in Arlington, Virginia and developed an interest in sports and music at a very young age. Even before she started playing golf, she won the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) championship event when she was only nine. She got into golf unexpectedly when she joined a family friend on the golf course, but from the moment she started playing, Zakiya has won almost every tournament she entered, including the Atlanta Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Championship, where she received the “Player of the Year” honors. At age 14, Zakiya has won 35 out of 36 junior golf tournaments. At age 17, the gifted golfer became the first female to win at the Championship level on the Golf Channel Tour. She turned pro before the filming of Golf Channel’s Big Break Atlantis where she was a contestant.
