Carin Hjalmarsson Koch is a professional golfer who has brought amateur and professional teams to championships. The Swedish golf legend had a successful amateur career, playing in Junior and Senior European Amateur Team Championships and winning the European Team Junior Champion. She played collegiate golf at the University of Tulsa where she was named Second-Team All-American and Scholar All-American. She also played eight times on the Swedish Telia Tour before turning pro in 1992. On her rookie year at the Ladies European Tour, she obtained three wins on the Swedish Telia Tour, and on her rookie season in 1995, she finished with a tie for second on the LPGA Tour at the JAL Big Apple Classic. In 2000, she won her first European title at the Chrysler Open and was part of the winning European Solheim Cup Team. She’s often a captain’s pick as a member for the Solheim Cup until 2015 where she was chosen as the team captain to lead the European Solheim Cup Team.
