Now in her third year at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where she plays for the university’s Heat golf team, Rebecca Reitsma, was not even playing golf until a few years ago as she grew up playing volleyball and was with the Junior Heat volleyball program. She was reportedly quoted as saying part of the reason she got into golf was because of the “cute outfits” but true or not, she would’ve looked not just cute, but awesome, in whatever outfit she wore. In high school, the Kelowna, BC native played for the Aberdeen Hall Gryphons which she helped win the provincial championship thanks to her career best of 81 at the time. She is now making her mark with the Heat, when as a rookie she won conference athlete of the week honors and won her first PACWEST tournament. Standing at just 5’8”, she would have been on the shorter end had she remained in the volleyball court, but she would surely make the cut for the volleyball version of this list.
