The former Cassandra Blaney, who is now married to Brett Meyer, a David Leadbetter certified golf instructor, is a professional golfer who took a hiatus from playing professionally. The Rochester, New York native was a golf prodigy, having played on the Junior Ryder Cup team in 2006. She was highly sought after and had full scholarships offers from several schools but decided to turn professional at age 18. Things did not go as planned, however, and though she played in the Symetra tour, she found little success. Although she stopped competing in the last few years, the now Orlando-based Mrs. Meyer, has mounted a comeback, just like her hero Rocky. Not competing doesn’t mean that she has slowed down, as she set out to become Certified Personal Trainer. Looking at her pics in Instagram, she definitely has the looks to be a credible one. Known for her powerful drives, with a personal best of 323 yards, she was supposed to compete at the World Long Drive Tour until the 45th World Long Drive Championship was suspended amidst the pandemic.
