The glamorous American professional golfer on the LPGA Tour, Nicole Castrale, qualified for the Tour on her first attempt. She was born and raised in Glendale, California, and she started playing golf when she was 10. She credits her husband, her parents, and her golf instructors to have the most influence on her career in golf. Nicole played college golf for the USC Trojans, representing the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After turning pro, she played on the Futures Tour and won twice in 2005. In 2007, she won the Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika while on the LPGA Tour. Also, in 2007, and again in 2009, she was selected to join the U.S. Solheim Cup teams, and she also represented the International team at the Lexus Cups in 2007 and 2008. She missed playing a full season in 2010 and 2011 because of a shoulder injury followed by her pregnancy, but she has returned to the LPGA Tour in 2012.
