The adorable Angela Park certainly has a smile that can light up a golf course. The Brazilian-American professional golfer was born in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil to Korean-born parents who relocated to Brazil for work. When she turned eight, she moved to Torrance, California with her father and siblings and acquired dual citizenship in 2008. She took up golf and achieved success as one of the top young amateur golfers, winning five times in the American Junior Golf Association. She finished in the top 10 in 24 of 29 AJGA events, and in 2005, she reached the semi-finals of the U.S. Women’s Amateur. Angela chose golf over college and turned pro in 2006 at age 17. She competed in the Futures Tour and qualified for the 2007 LPGA Tour where she was named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Unfortunately, Angela got mentally and physically burned out, and she quit professional golf when she turned 22.
