The University of Kentucky golf team has been getting a lot of attention lately, and much of that is because of sophomore Marissa Wenzler, who helped lift the school to prominence after her freshman year. Prior to that, she was a highly regarded prospect out of Centerville High School, being ranked number 37 in the class of 2019 after winning the state championship (Centerville’s first female state champ) and leading the school to third place at the 2018 state championship in her final year. The Dayton, Ohio native is living up to the hype at UK, but that is not the reason we included her in this list. It’s because the 437th ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, and steadily rising on the strength of ten top-10 finishes dating back to last year, simply lights up our day when we see her pics. It seems the young golfer is not even trying, and yet comes across as this girl next door type that is just pleasing to the eyes.
