Don’t Get Shocked At The Loudness Of Colombians

Just like in Brazil and Mexico, people are loud in Colombia. It is quite chaotic! This may disturb you if you like peace and quiet, or may alarm you thinking a revolution is about to happen. But, it is the norm here. A server shouting orders to the kitchen, a taxi driver talking to another across the street, or a street vendor looking to sell wares. Only the very classy places like expensive hotel lobby’s and cafes are more reserved and orderly. So get used to it. But it does not mean you have to be loud as well. It is their custom, not yours.
