Never Expect Public Transport To Move Fast

Buses in particular are really slow, averaging less than 40 mph. Probably because they are not well maintained. Plus the fact that locals don’t believe in punctuality. So buses are always late (probably because they are slow). If you plan to travel across the countryside by bus, don’t expect to arrive on time, as published. Make adjustments in your schedule. Better to expect this so you are not pressured by time. Also, buses can get really cold at night, so do prepare.
