Do Not Expect Orderly Queues

Maybe it is due to their laid-back culture, but people in Colombia do not have the patience and politeness (even though they are a polite people) to line up orderly. Do not be shocked if you are lining up in a shop to order something when somebody just steps in front of you and loudly demands service. It seems arrogant of them, but that’s how it is. Certain unwritten rules and behaviors found in most countries may not apply in Colombia. But you can always try to form a queue. Who knows, you may set an example for others to follow. If it does not work, at least you tried. Eventually you will get service if you are patient.
