Croatians are knowns as warm and hospitable hosts, enthusiastically welcoming their guests and offering food and drinks, but don’t expect their customer service to be of an equal level. Don’t hope for the same attentive and accommodating high-quality customer service you’re used to in other countries. Most establishments and restaurants provide excellent service, but some shops and bistros have staff that are not as efficient or friendly.
