There are countless beaches in Croatia. The most popular one, Zlatni Rat, often called the Golden Cape or Golden Horn because of its unique shape, is a long stretch of pebbles. The largest beach on the Adriatic coast, Gornja Vala, is a vast expanse of alabaster-white pebbles. Proizd Island in Vela Luka has hot slabs of stone for sunbathers. The coast of Croatia has the most amazing shoreline in Europe, but it is also generally rocky, making it difficult to enjoy the water on bare feet. So, don’t forget to bring aqua shoes to protect your feet from rocks and other sharp objects in the water and on the shore. You don’t want to cut your trip short because you’ve injured yourself when you stepped on sharp and pointy stones.
