The Grayback was indeed an impressive submarine. She came well-equipped with 21-inch torpedo tubes. Six of these torpedoes set towards the bow while the other four were at the stern. She was also armed with a 50-caliber machine gun with Bofors 40mm and Oerlikon 20mm cannons. These were all strategically placed at the deck as these were meant to protect its crew from air assaults. Although, the armament was also used for attacks on enemy ships as soon as the sub would surface the water. This meant that she had everything in the arsenal that would allow her to put up a good fight.
