This American chain and international franchise restaurant was founded in 1958 by Dan and Frank Carney. It is known for its Italian-American food, specifically pizza and pasta. It had over 18,000 outlets worldwide, making it the world’s largest pizza chain in terms of locations. But, it has lost its appeal, customers have other places to go to and opt for genuine Italian food, and not the “greasy goodness” of the Hut. It is one of the oldest sit-down pizza joints, but soon will shift to take-out outlets predominantly. 450 outlets are expected to close shop within 2020. Several problems have affected the chain restaurant. One of which was the high salt content of their pizza and pasta dishes. Well, we still have to see how the chain handles its problems and if they can recover from them.
