Nolan Gould is known for his role as Luke Dunphy, the youngest child in the Dunphy household. Luke is playful, mischievous, simpleminded, and often a victim of his own questionable actions like getting his head stuck between the banisters of a staircase. He is closest to his father, from whom he most likely inherited his innocence and ignorance, and they attempt many things together, from competing against each other on a trampoline to winning as a team in a hot dog eating contest.

Despite his rather brainless character, Nolan Gould has been a member of Mensa, the world’s largest and oldest high IQ society, since he was four years old, and he has an IQ of 150. He has accelerated ten grades in school and graduated from high school at age 13. Before Modern Family, Gould began his acting career doing commercials and playing extras in movies.
