As the show progresses, Jay shows how much he cares for his family, and acknowledging his shortcomings as a father with Mitchell and Claire, and even his stepson, Manny, he confesses how proud he is of his sons and how he admires his daughter’s persistence and ambition. Despite the age and cultural gap between Jay and Gloria, it’s a treat watching the couple raise their children together. It’s also hilarious seeing the two take on challenges where Gloria needs to rub their pet French Bulldog’s belly and Jay needs to eat Gloria’s mother’s blood sausages.
