Brigitte, the French Bulldog Then and Now

Brigitte is Stella, Jay’s beloved pet French Bulldog. While Jay spoils her and showers her with more affection than he ever did with his children, Gloria hates the pooch because she bites and destroys Gloria’s shoes. Stella has the most adorable relationship with Jay and the most hilarious rivalry with Gloria.

Brigitte plays Stella from the second to the fourth season, but because of a dispute between her owner and the animal agency that hired her, she was replaced by her understudy, Beatrice. Like the rest of the cast, Brigitte also won an award, the Golden Collar Award for Best Dog in a Television Series. The New York Post also described her as the most popular dog on television since Frasier’s Eddie.
